Lubingnan established Wenying Society with some learned people and gentlemen in the 5 th year of Xianfeng and established Wenying Academy at the side of Ankishe (the location of Anki Elementary School ) in the 8 th year of Tongzhi. Later in the 3 rd year of Guangxu, Wuziguang (Tiemei the elder) established the institute at Wenchang Shrine and employed as the tutors of this Academy and achieved the four sons of Lu Family, Ruyu, Ruxiu, Rucheng and Rutao in poetry, calligraphy, and drawings.
In the 5 th year of Tongzhi, Xiaoyun Villa finished the construction and named ˇ§Lu Villaˇ¨ where is the place to give joy to the parents.
Lubingnan built the new residence with the balcony and ornamental flowers and luxuriant, well-spaced trees to take care of his mother. Xiaoyun Hall had a book reservation of ten thousands of volumes, including the Confucianists' Thought, the History, the Philosophy and the Literature. ˇF In the 4 th year of Guangxu, Wuziguang inscribed:ˇ¨The slender bamboos surrounds the ancient residence widely, the cloud proects numerous books in the mountains.ˇ¨ He thought Mr. Lu was a real intellectual and a real master of book collection. Lu was famed with reputation as the first master of book collection.
Lubingnan came and went Shanghai and Tianjin due to the necessity of running business. Everything he came back from Mainland China , he must search and collect the books and periodicals and the calligraphy and painting to replenish the book reservation of Xiaoyun Hall. |
