“Five
Blessing” the Divine Tree locates on Longshin
Villiage Mountain of Shihgang Township,
which is composed of acacia, banyan, nanmu,
hackberry and camphor five different trees
tangling with one another. The trunk of
trees are very big that need to get 12 people
‘s arms around. The floor spaces is around
500 level grounds and 50 meters in length
and breadth. The age of tree is not traceable.
According to the saying of the grand old
man: this truck existed since Chin Dynasty,
that is over thousand years old and has
tremdous magic religious color. There is
a cavity under the trunk with a God of Earth
inside. It is said that he is unable to
say no to seekers of help and extremely
efficacious, people come for worship no
matter living neighborhood or far away.
Therefore, the worshiper is in an endless
stream and really could get healthy and
blessing thereby earn trustworthy by villiage
people. The staff in camphor bureau in coloniel
era found this tree with superior ingredient
of camphor and told workers to cut down
the tree and produce camphor. However, when
workers accepting the order were going to
cut the tree, they would be hurt by themselves
at the beginning of each time. Therefore
they could only let him grow freely. Hence
Japanese thought this tree was indeed a
divine tree that could not be cut down arbitrarily.
Inspectors verified that tree is a mother
tree afterward and reproduce the saplings
every year for afforestation of other mountain
areas, which is the reason of staying flourishing
and strong, so it was also called the “Tudikung
Tree”. Originally, except for local inhabitants,
no people from outside acknowledged this
tree. President Jing-Kuo Jiang visited here
twice in person at 1995 and 1996 and gave
it the name “Five Blessing” the divine tree.
From that, it eanred highly reputation and
became a famous scenic spot of tourism.

Drive Route:
get off Fengyuan interchange and go along
with No. 3 roadway heading Dungshih, you
will arrive Sherliao Angle in 4 kilometers
after passing through Shihgang Dam. Following
the sign of “Five Blessing” the Divine Tree
and take a right turn into Wanshie Street
would be there. It is around 14 kilometers
apart from Fengyuan interchange. You can
also get on a Fengyuan Bus to Dungshih and
get off at Sherliao Angle Stop, then go
along with the sign and take right turn
to Wanshie Street and go up for 1.5 kilometer
to the destination.
