Introduction of Township Landform

The east-west side of Shihgang Township is slightly wider (6.326 kilometers) and narrower in south-north face (4.579 kilometers), which appears like a leaf shape in east-west direction. There are mountains sourrounds south-west boundry, the north-east side forms a river vally of Tachia River midstream from east to west along with Tachia River. The landform are mainly formed by river vally and golden face, Xiantang Field, and Nangmei such river terraces. There are mostly small mountains in south coast and all by east-west direction. Because Dachia Rvier acrosses north edge of this township, the forming of gradually lower down river terraces stiff became its feature. The altitude is between 260 to 340 meters and share one-third floor space of entire township.

Introduction of Township Geography

The north part of Shihfen Mound (Shihfen River Terrace) inside Shihgang Township is cutted into up golden star mound which altitude is between 460 to 540 meters and latitude 160 to 210 meters. This section of mound is also divided into Kungliou Field Mound that appears slightly slope in alluvial fan shape. Under Shihfen Mound is Xientang Field Mound that has altitude between 440 to 500 meters, which latitude is from 140 to 170 meters. The below part has been cut and join to down golden star mound (altitude between 450 to 480 meters and latitude from 140 to 170 meters).
